Twenty years ago, LifeWave embarked on a remarkable journey with a vision as simple and powerful as light itself. LifeWave's story began with the groundbreaking discovery of harnessing light to boost the body's energy.
In these two decades, LifeWave has expanded, enhancing lives, and improving health across North America, Japan, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. This growth is powered by the partnership with our community as together we share the light.
What's in store for the future? We will continue to innovate and develop new technologies beyond wellness products for personal empowerment, security, and financial well-being. I am expecting the next 20 years to be even bigger than the first, and I would not miss them for the world.

OUR TECHNOLOGY
Harnessing light, we discovered a life transforming patch technology that reflects visible and infrared light back into the tissue. That initial patch is now known as Energy Enhancer. In 2002, a patent was filed on this pioneering, non-transdermal technology.

The LifeWave Journey — 20 incredible years of growth.
2002 | THE BEGINNING
LifeWave Technology was formed with the development of the first patch prototypes in David Schmidt's home office, including the prototype for Energy Enhancer. A patent was filed on this pioneering, non-transdermal technology.
2003 | LAYING THE FOUNDATION
The first clinical studies were conducted at Troy University and Morehouse College, solidifying the commitment to perform quality research to validate product efficacy.
2004 | THE RIGHT PEOPLE
David met Richard Quick, a six-time United States Olympic Swim Coach. Just three weeks after providing patches to his Stanford University team, six of its eight members broke their personal lifetime records. Stanford team members were spotted wearing LifeWave patches during the Olympic Swimming Trials. November 10, 2004 — the first day in business as a Direct Sales Company, generating over $500,000 USD in the first month.
2005 | YEAR OF FIRSTS
The first conference was held at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, featuring 40 speakers including professional and Olympic athletes. The first donation to the Red Cross was made. By year's end, $17 million in sales had been generated.
2006 | NEW PRODUCTS
Worldwide expansion began with the release of IceWave, Y-Age Carnosine, and Y-Age Glutathione.
2007 | SP6 LAUNCHES
The SP6 Complete Patch launched in July 2007. NFL Super Bowl champion Brendon Ayanbadejo and other sports legends endorsed LifeWave products.
2008 | FAST GROWTH
Business expanded to the EU with offices in France, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy. Ranked #4825 in the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies. Southeast Asia expansion with business launch in Taiwan.
2009 | FIVE YEARS
Five years in business celebrated with a Caribbean Cruise. The Richard Quick Pursuit of Excellence Award was created in memory of Coach Quick.
2010 | ENHANCED INFRASTRUCTURE
Headquarters expanded in San Diego. A 25,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and fulfillment house established in Ireland. Ranked #1435 in the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies.
2011 | Y-AGE AEON LAUNCHES
One of the most popular products — Aeon — was launched.
2012 | ASIA EXPANSION
International expansion continued with new markets including Hong Kong. Several Olympians, including medal winners, wore LifeWave patches during the 2012 Summer Games.
2014 | TEN YEARS
Brand Partners joined the leadership team on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate a decade of changing lives around the world.
2016 | NEW, BOLD LOOK
An image revamp with new packaging materials gave products a bold new look.
2018 | INTRODUCING X39
After years of research and development, a first-of-its-kind product was introduced — the LifeWave X39 patch. The InTouch App also launched.
2019 | 15 YEARS
LifeWave officially opened in Japan on February 19, 2019. A 15-Year Anniversary cruise in the Caribbean hosted over 350 Brand Partners.
2020 | CONTINUED EXPANSION
Despite the global pandemic, business continued to grow with a new office in Utah, USA, and the Japanese business moved to a new office in Tokyo.
2021 | VIRTUAL CONFERENCE STARTS
The annual virtual kickoff event NOVA launched and has been a success year on year since.
2022 | X49 AND MORE
The LifeWave X49 Patch officially launched globally. The SHINE Global Convention was hosted in Orlando, Florida. New aromatherapy technology — LifeWave SHINE and DREAM — was released.
2023 | AROMATHERAPY SPREADS
The Aromatherapy Mist collection successfully launched in Asia. The Heart-to-Heart Global Convention in Orlando, Florida was the biggest event to date.
GIVING BACK
Since 2004, LifeWave and its member community have partnered in delivering humanitarian aid where needed. In times of crisis, LifeWave has responded by donating patches to those in need or through monetary donations to the Red Cross, UNICEF, and other helpful organisations.
In the two decades since the company began, LifeWave has provided aid to those in war-torn countries, assisted in clean-up efforts after hurricanes and other weather disasters, supported initiatives to provide clean drinking water in underprivileged countries, and so much more.
